Clearly, not a calendar

Hello!?! You, in the pod, it's spring, or hadn't you noticed? And yet you haven't even stirred! C'mon! We're all racked with curiosity! Hatch already!

Something I wouldn't mind seeing emerge from that pod

Pelicans are rather nice, aren't they? And they might be smart. With that huge stretchy bill they could perhaps be taught to carry small packages hither and yon, saving me a bundle in shipping.
